Sisterhood

What is Sisterhood?

We are a Jewish women’s organization, the backbone of Congregation Kol Haverim, supporting and enhancing many of its spiritual and social activities, helping to make these events warm and welcoming. Sisterhood kindles the individual’s spirit of Judaism and ignites lasting friendships. We are members of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), the women’s affiliate of the Union of Reform Judaism, the central body of Reform Judaism of North America. Sisterhood offers strength and support to the congregation at large, as well as to our own membership. We come from varied geographical locations, backgrounds, teachings and experience but the bond of Judaism connects us in a special way. We unite under the banner of sisterhood and friendship, developing meaningful ties to Judaism, one another and our congregation.
