Kindergarten-1st Grade                                   March 17, 2019

Today was another great day! We started by talking about mitzvot and singing our tzedakah song, then sang the rest of our tefilah. Next, the students practiced their lines for the Purim Puppet Show in partners and we then rehearsed all together. The students are becoming really fluent with their lines and I'm so excited for the big show! After, we had snack and went to tefilah in the sanctuary, where we also had a special treat: watching part of the Purim Shpiel!

Our class's Purim Puppet Show will be next Sunday, March 24, at 10:15 a.m. and I encourage all of you to attend! If you have any questions or concerns with the show, or if you would like me to send you a copy of the script along with your student's role, I would be more than happy to do so.

See you next week!

It was such a fun day, today! We started out with music with the second grade. I then read My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss, which is all about the colors, and I taught the students the Hebrew words for the colors. We then reviewed the colors, and I gave the students coloring books that I drew and made, to help them review the colors. The monsters all have Hebrew words in them as well as the English words and transliteration. While there was not enough time for the students to complete the coloring book at school, I encouraged them to finish coloring at home, if possible! After coloring, we had snack and went to Tefilah

Have a great week!

Next, we had music with Tami and the second graders, and played shimon omer

At the beginning of class I gave the students time to work on the siddurim they started last class, and then we had our tefilah with the second graders.
