Hanukkah is almost here! Today started off with the students all spinning dreidels. I was able to teach a few of our students the proper snapping motion with two fingers and two of the girls were especially delighted to actually get their dreidels spinning well We told the children that the dreidel was the original fidget spinner! From there we looked at the letters on the dreidel and then found them in our Hebrew books.

We spent the next half an hour going through our Hebrew books and reviewing all the Hebrew we learned and learning about the new letters. After Hebrew, we then went to the reading rug where the children enjoyed a reading of the story  Herschel and the Hanukkah Goblins. After that, the class returned to our working tables where we made Hanukkah cards for the CKH college students. Next week, we will be doing more Hanukkah activities!
