Honorable Menschen

The Honorable Menschen group was established as a social group for those 55 years of age and older.  Its purpose is to plan and organize activities of a social nature.  THESE ACTIVITIES WILL BE OPEN TO ALL, REGARDLESS OF AGE.  The group is financially self-supporting.  A small fund was established by donations at its first meeting.  Activities will be paid for by those taking part in them.

Rochelle (Shelly) Abeles, beloved chair of Honorable Menschen, passed away on May 7, 2021.
She valued her connection to Congregation Kol Haverim and was excited to help establish the special “over 55 group” which was open to all.

Shelly enthusiastically planned theater excursions and dinners, New Year’s Eve celebrations, movie nights, and the cuisine for Sunday Noshes sponsored by Honorable Menschen . Her cooking skills were appreciated by all!
We are mourning Shelly’s loss and forever grateful for all of  her contributions.
