Cantorial Soloist - Scott Cope

Scott Cope joins Congregation Kol Haverim as a cantorial soloist for 2020-21.

Scott grew up in Glastonbury, and became a Bar Mitzvah at Kol Haverim. For five years, while attending McGill University, he was a part of the prestigious choir at Shaar Hashomayim in Montreal, where Gideon Zelermyer is the cantor. For the past five summers he has been the orchestra conductor for the Glastonbury Youth & Family Services' yearly mainstage musical. He continues his studies at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School, and has, in the recent past, sung at Congregation Kol Haverim’s Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah services as well as b’nai mitzvot. We are delighted to have Scott lend his wonderful voice to the High Holidays and frequent Shabbat services.
