Ordained in 1999 from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City, Rabbi Craig Marantz has a Master’s degree in Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in History from UCLA. He loves being a rabbi. “I enjoy accompanying congregants along their lifelong path of Jewish learning and spirituality. I especially appreciate the opportunity to shape a sense of community within my congregation, through happy times and sad.” Prior to coming to Congregation Kol Haverim, he served as Associate Rabbi at Temple Israel in Omaha, Nebraska. Previously having served as Director of Education at The Temple in Atlanta, Georgia, Rabbi Marantz has extensive experience working with children, from preschool through high school. In addition, he is a passionate advocate for and facilitator of lifelong learning and social action. Rabbi Marantz also plans to join two-year-old Jared in “Music Together,” an internationally recognized early childhood music program that lets children and their parents express themselves through music and dance. We welcome Rabbi Marantz, his wife Betsey, and their children Cara and Jared, to our community! |
