Sisterhood's Annual Chanukah Gift Bazaar - This Sunday! |
|
Sunday, November 23. Remember to shop at Sisterhood's annual Chanukah Gift Bazaar between 9 AM and 3 PM. Children’s Gift Bazaar, with opportunity to make or select gifts at child’s prices, will take place between 9 AM and 1 PM. Volunteers are still needed for shifts at both the Children’s and Adult Bazaar. Please Email Sisterhood if you can give some time on that date. |

Kol Haverim’s Social Action Committee has committed to provide 80 Thanksgiving Dinners to the families of Dwight Elementary School in Hartford. We will be assembling the meals for delivery on Sunday, November 23rd. Our most urgent need is for monetary donations and donations of turkeys. Laurel Gardens Holiday Concert - Musicians Needed - All Levels |

Saturday, December 6, 2 PM. Tami is looking for musicians to play songs for the annual holiday concert at Laurel Gardens, next door to Kol Haverim - any instrument or voice, any songs, all levels and ages. Please contact Tami if you would like to participate in this fun and always-appreciated event. |

Talk by Author and Filmmaker Sadia Shepard |

Sunday, December 7, 7 PM. We have just learned that we have a commitment for a talk by author and filmmaker Sadia Shepard, as our part of the "New Jewish Book Festival" in partnership with the JCC. Details of the event will follow, but you won't want to miss this! Sadia Shepard's newly published book is "The Girl from Foreign: A Search for Shipwrecked Ancestors, Forgotten Histories, and a Sense of Home".
