Congregation Kol Haverim

Covenant of Membership
Welcome to Congregation Kol Haverim!

We are delighted that you have decided to become part of our community. Please allow us to share our Covenant of Membership with you.

The concept of Covenant (Brit) is central to Judaism.

From Abraham and Sarah to our collective experience at Sinai, the theme of covenant (brit) appears over and over again. Our relationship with God and our Jewish family is one of partnership. It is part of the essence of being a Jew that we strive to understand what is expected of us and endeavor to fulfill those expectations, not just ethically, but in our dealings within the Jewish community and the world at large.

We have developed this Covenant of Membership to set expectations for the relationship between your family and your Congregation. Our intention is to show you what you can expect from Congregation Kol Haverim and what you can do to enjoy the full benefits of our congregation.

Do we expect everyone to fulfill every expectation? Of course not! But we do hope everyone will challenge him or herself a bit more each year than they did the year before.
